Corn down 1 1/2 @ 369 3/4| Soybeans up 1/2 @ 869-
Rather quiet day for corn today, as strength was found early on short covering ahead of the weekend. Ultimately corn closed lower on the day following pressure from wheat which had heavy deliveries for today's which was first notice day for September contracts.
Soybeans held onto their strength for most of the day with position squaring and friendly news on the US/China front. Heading into the second half of trading, soybeans also succumbed to the weakness of corn and wheat to finish just above unchanged.
