Description:
|
Position will work under the direction of agronomy management and sales staff in developing profitable and sustainable customer relationships through product recommendations and service.
|
Duties/Responsibilities:
(Included, but not limited to)
|
- Maintain a positive & professional company image
- Develop sales strategies & cold call prospective customers
- Provide value-added product recommendations & service to growers
- Communicate sales orders with other agronomy sales staff & management through sales meeting notes & reports
- Deliver fertilizer, anhydrous ammonia, and chemicals to grower customers
- Assist with agronomy equipment scheduling and field operations

Education/Experience Requirements:
|
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture-related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2+ years experience in agriculture
|
Other Requirements & Licenses:
|
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Sales knowledge and negotiation skills
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification
- Commercial Drivers License with HazMat & Tanker preferred
- Clear driving record
- Self-starter and able to schedule and manage time
- Able to organize and work on multiple tasks concurrently
- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Some duties require lifting objects up to 75 pounds
- Exposure to outdoor conditions and agricultural products
- Personal Protective Equipment will be required for some duties
