Description:

Position will work under the direction of agronomy management and sales staff in developing profitable and sustainable customer relationships through product recommendations and service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

(Included, but not limited to)

  • Maintain a positive & professional company image
  • Develop sales strategies & cold call prospective customers
  • Provide value-added product recommendations & service to growers
  • Communicate sales orders with other agronomy sales staff & management through sales meeting notes & reports
  • Deliver fertilizer, anhydrous ammonia, and chemicals to grower customers
  • Assist with agronomy equipment scheduling and field operations

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture-related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in agriculture

Other Requirements & Licenses:

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Sales knowledge and negotiation skills
  • Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification
  • Commercial Drivers License with HazMat & Tanker preferred
  • Clear driving record
  • Self-starter and able to schedule and manage time
  • Able to organize and work on multiple tasks concurrently
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Some duties require lifting objects up to 75 pounds
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions and agricultural products
  • Personal Protective Equipment will be required for some duties
